About
Welcome to our Family Farm. We hope that your visit will be the first of many as our tree farm becomes part of your family tradition.
Our story begins when Phil and Marion Baron bought the Ranch back in 1944. They turned it into a family ran dairy farm. Grandma and Grandpa Baron dreamed of having a Christmas Tree farm of their own someday. Through the years Grandma and Grandpa attempted to grow trees but life happened, and the trees didn’t make it. They continued with the dairy farm and grandpa was a finish carpenter who helped to build many of the Colony Homes here in Atascadero. In the 80’s, Phil and Marion’s son, Robert Baron and his wife Madonna, bought the ranch and continued to add to the property and make it beautiful. These fields were used for growing hay and had an amazing motorcycle track for their kids to race on. Fast forward to 2015 when Cory and Amy George bought the Ranch from Bob and Madonna (Amy’s Parents). They had no idea what to do with the land. Amy learned about her Grandma’s dream of having a tree farm and they knew what they needed to do with the fields their grandparent’s ashes were spread. After a failed attempt at growing trees and losing 90% of their crop in 2016, Amy and Cory were ready to throw in the towel. Bob and Madonna offered to partner with them and together they planted and tended to the trees as business partners and family. Cory and Amy’s five children have grown up in these field helping to plant and prune every year.
We are so grateful for this opportunity to share our farm with everyone. We hope to be a part of your families Christmas tradition!
